Hi Everyone! Sorry it's taken a while to get a new post up. 'Tis the season for so many things right now... And so many things I could use some help with.
November starts the season for so many fun and wonderful things here in Oklahoma. From family gatherings around Thanksgiving dinners to exciting nights watching our kids play basketball and wrestle. Oh! And don't forget the early, early planning for Christmas decorations and shopping.
It's true we don't always look forward to the cold weather. There is silver lining however. When the north winds begin blowing those chilly temperatures our way, they always seem to be accompanied with the smell of fireplaces warming our homes, the memories of wintery days passed, and the warm-hearted seasonal movies that always bri

HALLOWWEEEEN!!! We so love this time of year. The decorations, the trips around the neighborhood, the wonderful costumes, and, a favorite of mine, the scares! I guess that's why I love roller coasters and other thrill rides so much. I just love the idea of being put in a scarey situation where I feel I am still safe. Awesome!
Then there's our decorations for the big night. The whole family pitches in to get setup. Last year we had five animatronics... wonder how many we'll have this year. Our front yard has two approaches to the candy: the Fright Path and the Fraidy Path (yeah... I know it's no

Have you seen this site? I came across it about 3 weeks ago and have loved it ever since. I work on a pretty busy schedule and like to spend some family time after work. So, I don't always get to sit down and watch TV (spend more time on the computer). But there are still shows out there that I enjoy.
Well along comes hulu.com. They have prime time episodes of great shows like The Office, Saturday Night Live, and my new favorite... Fringe! The best part is I can pause and come back to it any

Check out the Piedmont-Surrey Hills Gazette this week!
As a matter of fact... grab a few copies to share with friends and family! There will be a story about the Piedmont Community Website! Woo Hoo! I hope we can expect to see a lot of residents visiting the website after they read it. If all goes well, we may have some more contributors to the website with lots of interesting content to include stories, pictures, and videos. If you know someone who's interested in this, please use the Contact Us form to let me know.

Since Hurricane Ike is the current topic of the day, I don't want to be negative, but I'm gonna start with a "Con". Cruising during hurricane season is always a risk. Although 90% of the time you will have a great trip and never encounter a hurricane, that 10% could be rough, no pun intended. Cruise ships go out of their way to give the passengers the best trip they can, and always put "passenger safety first".
I'll give you a little inside info on what is happening now. I have some friends, first time cruisers, who left last Saturday for a cruise out of Galveston . It was a trip of a lifetime. (Saga continues - end of story)

I've been cruising since 1982 and have taken about 15 cruises . Crusing is probably one of the most enjoyable vacations we take, but it is not for everyone . There is so much to cover about cruising, I'll do it in installments. Enjoy !
