The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is the most visited National Park Service site in Washington, D.C. As you know it honors those brave men and women who fought in Vietnam and made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
The Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall is three-quarter-scale traveling replica of the memorial and it will be exhibited in Piedmont, Oklahoma the weekend of Thursday, July 2nd to Sunday, July 5th, 2009, for 24 hours a day. This spectacular memorial travels the country and gives thousands of Americans who may never get to visit the nation’s capital, the opportunity to see “The Wall” firsthand. What an honor it is to host it in Piedmont over the 4th of July holiday!
Between 30,000 and 50,000 visitors are expected throughout this week. . Here is important information you may want to know:
- The Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall will arrive in Piedmont July 1 and be exhibited at Stout Field, the Football Stadium. It is always free to attend and will be open 24 hours a day.
