Traveling Replica of D.C. Memorial Visits Piedmont , Okla. July 2-5

 

WHAT:          A motorcycle escort of thousands of riders following a semitrailer transporting the Dignity Memorial® Vietnam Wall, a three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, to Piedmont High School ’s Stout Field near the intersection of OK-Highway 4 and Edmond Road in Piedmont , Okla.

                       

WHEN:          Date:               Wednesday, July 1

                        Depart:            6:00 p.m.

                        Arrive:             7:00 p.m.

 

WHERE:       Start:   El Reno VFW

                                                515 S Rock Island Ave

El Reno , OK    73102

                                               

Route:   Depart El Reno VFW on S Rock Island Ave. heading towards Route 66. 

Go east on Route 66 to Piedmont Rd.

Head North.

                          

END:  Turn into Stout Field just past the Elementary School off of Piedmont Rd.
                     

 

WHY:             To follow the Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall to Piedmont . Dignity Memorial funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers created the traveling replica as a service to Americans who might never visit the nation’s capital to experience the Vietnam Veterans Memorial firsthand. The 240-foot-long, eight-foot-high replica will be assembled at the football Wednesday evening and will be free and open to the public 24 hours a day July 2-5.
